"New York has never been so tough"

James Miller is a detective working in New York during the second world war, an economic and
industrial boom reveals a thriving and congested city rife with crime and villainy. His young daughter has been kidnapped and it is up to this lone detective to discover why.

Deception is a gaming short trilogy, delivered in three episodic packs each lasting around 1-2 hours in gameplay. Each disc contains the same amount of data as a normal gaming disc yet the short nature of the game, allows high memory methods to be utilised, increasing the quality of character models and environments. The purpose is to deliver a strong, concise adventure to the highest quality imaginable, the length of the game is balanced by a well executed tale that leaves the consumer wanting more.

The game is a dark and twisted tale, following a desperate father in his attempts to locate his kidnapped daughter. Corruption and espionage being at the heart of the tale. The game involves the use of the third person perspective and follows James Miller through a series of detailed and vibrant scenes.

Game Design:
Deception allows the player to interact the environment, searching for clues, moving objects and interacting with the scene. Combat is minimal yet versatile with a large variation of animations to defeat your opponent. The focus is upon creating a tense, unbearable and fast paced thriller using a number of film techniques to convey these effects.

Visuals:
The game's short nature allows the memory space to utilize a large texture and model budget leading to an increase in visual quality compared to other games on the market.

Physics:
Modified physics engine to allow story specific events to occur, such as dynamically manipulating in game assets and rag doll effects.

Story:
An in-depth, fast paced, thriller, set in a visceral environment full of devious and interesting characters. Deception has the potential to succeed.
